BOW HUNTING

Bow Hunt Exclusive Property

With ethics in mind, we take the time to make sure your bow setup is optimal before venturing into the hunting field. The main Lodge provides a shooting range to test all equipment after travelling, and our team of knowledgeable staff are skilled in adjusting and tuning bows as needed. Our Professional Hunters will also go over proper shot placement, acceptable shooting distance and help with identifying trophy size of targeted animals.

a typical day

  • Typically, bow hunters will wake up around 6 AM to shoot some arrows before breakfast.
  • A full hot breakfast will be served at 7 AM with coffee, juice and conversation regarding the anticipation of the day ahead.
  • Clients are then brought to the hunting blinds chosen based on targeted animals, weather variables and the observed movement of animals.
  • Each hunter will be provided with a packed lunch, water, soda, and a few extra snacks for the day.
  • Basically, everything the hunter may need is provided other than your own hunting clothing, weapon, and camera equipment.
  • The animals typically become more active as the temperatures start to rise around 9-10 AM and activity can stay strong throughout the day.
  • The golden hours from 4:30 PM until dark is the only time some species will be active and be seen. Therefore, clients remain in the blinds until just after dark.
  • After pickup, clients return to the lodge where dinner will be ready.
  • Dinner is typically followed by evenings spent around the campfire sharing stories of the day's while enjoying a beverage of choice.

the recovery team

Once an animal has been shot, the recovery team is called in. The Professional Hunter will then make the determination on how to proceed based on the shot placement, blood trail, and other factors. A professional tracker, along with tracking dogs are among our dedicated staff and will be brought to the site if needed.

Once the animal has been located and you have had the opportunity to capture the moment with a few photographs, the hunter can either return to the same blind or be relocated to a new one. The animal will then be carefully loaded on one of our vehicles and brought to our skilled skinners to properly prepare your trophy for however you choose to have it memorialized.
